The Plants
Mature agapanthus that flower the year you plant them
20+ Varieties That Will Change How You Think About Agapanthus
Most people think agapanthus means the standard mauve and white varieties you see everywhere. We thought that too, until we started collecting the rare and spectacular ones that hardly anyone knows about.
Over the past decade, we’ve gathered more than 20 varieties that showcase what agapanthus can really do. Deep purple Guilfoyle with its dramatic dark stems. Delicate Alba Roseus with white petals tipped in pink. Towering giants that reach 1.8 metres, and compact miniatures perfect for borders.
Some flower from October through to March, others create those classic summer displays that announce the season has arrived.
What You'll See Below Are Mature Plants That Have Already Proven Themselves
Unlike the tiny tissue-culture plants sold elsewhere, every variety we offer has flowered on our farm. When you plant them in your garden, you’re not gambling on whether they’ll perform. You’re getting agapanthus that we know will thrive because we’ve watched them do exactly that, year after year.
Browse through our collection below, then come see them growing in person. There’s nothing quite like walking among 300,000 flowering agapanthus to understand why these plants have lined the driveways of grand country houses for generations. And why they deserve a place in your garden too.
The Agapanthus
The farm has been planted with a spectacular variety of Agapanthus collected over the past ten years. This collection can all be seen flowering in the summer months. Their availability for sale, however, depends on their having reached an acceptable degree of maturity for their harvest.
